Autumn 1
This term Year 3 have been very busy learning through their Topic about the prehistory of Britain, this topic will be continued after half term as we will be continuing Through the Ages. The children have enjoyed leaning about the Palaeolithic time period, also known as the Stone Age, and have just started leaning about the Mesolithic period known as the Bronze Age. They have been looking at tools, weapons, settlements, beliefs and everyday life.
In science we have been studying light and investigating how shadows are formed and changed. The children particularly enjoyed looking at reflective surfaces and colours that show up in the dark. This science topic also related to the learning about the Summer Festival, the Summer Solstice and the stone circles that were created to celebrate this event.
