The Food stall - Thursdays @ St Swithin's Church car park
The Food Stall runs every Thursday from 10am in the St Swithin's Church car park. They give out food, toiletries and other items that supermarkets, bakery’s, butchers and private gardens or orchards cannot sell. Maybe the packaging is damaged, they've been over ordered or are coming close to being out of date. They also get donations from local bakeries such as Leakers
ANYONE can come down, there’s no referral needed and it’s about reducing food waste and helping people that may be struggling. You can have a browse and pick and take what you like. You can give a monetary donation if you like but it’s not necessary.
Donations to the stall change from week to week but there’s usually loads to choose from. From veg, bread to cereal, hygiene products and Indian takeaway! Every week is different. It’s a friendly space and can be a great place to meet people as well as pick up some bits and bobs. No one should feel embarrassed and no questions about circumstances are asked and there’s no form filling or anything.
